What is an Instagram Puzzle Grid and how to use one?

There are a lot of people who don’t really know how to create Instagram pictures and posts, so there is an effective tool that you can use to help you create a puzzle and have it organized on your account. An Instagram puzzle feed is a custom jigsaw so you can organize all of your pictures so that they are much easier to browse through.

Using Canva it allows you to choose the type of puzzle that you want to create on your account. There are a lot of options available so that you can make them all look different, and also allow you to add photos and use special tools to add some shading and shadows to the photo.

After you have chosen the template that you want to create on your account, you can click the little puzzle button that will show up in the corner of the photo that you are going to place on your grid.

Once you click the button, you will see the options available to you in the grid. You can change the colors and type of grid and also be able to select the type of puzzle that you want. If you want to turn a picture into a puzzle, all you have to do is press the delete button and then add another picture for a second piece.

The Instagram grid is an easy and fun way to add a little fun to your account. It can also be a great place to store all of your pictures and add a little bit of color and personality to your account. However, if you find that you want to remove something, you can also do this. Simply click the button to remove it, then click the Undo button to add it back.

There are also a lot of other options available in the Instagram grid for you to choose from. You can change the size of the picture that you want to create, as well as choosing the type of background that you want. This makes it easier for you to get a little bit creative with your own Instagram pictures.

The reason that the Instagram grid makes it easier for you to add a little bit of color and style to your pictures is because it makes it easy for you to find all of the pictures that you are looking for.

When you find the picture that you want to add, you can then click the puzzle button and find the pieces that you need to place on your picture. By finding all of the pictures that you want to add to your grid, it will be much easier for you to get the one that you want.

The Instagram grid will not only be easier for you to navigate, but it will also be more organized. If you find that you are finding a lot of pictures to use, you can also use the search function that is available in the grid to locate them. All of the pictures that you use in the grid are in a grid, which means that they will be easy to find in the long run.

When you are ready to create some fun images for your Instagram account, make sure that you use the Instagram grid to create the puzzle for your pictures. You will be able to add a little bit of fun and personality to your account and you will have all of the pictures organized and ready to use.

How to Create a Puzzle Theme on Your Instagram Grid (Using Canva)

Are you feeling bored of posting the same things to Instagram and want to try something a bit different?

Maybe you’ve seen those fancy layouts where all of the images fit together to make some sort of puzzle but thought they looked far too complicated for you to try?

Well, don’t worry! Today I’m going to show you how to create your very own puzzle theme on your Instagram using Canva (yep, you don’t even need an expensive and complicated program like Photoshop to do this!)

Note: This tutorial is based on using Canva to create the puzzle theme, if you don’t already have a Canva account, you can sign up for a free account here.

Step One: Log into Canva and create a new project

Once you’ve logged into your Canva account, create a new project using custom dimensions. If you want a puzzle made up of 9 images (3×3) your custom dimensions will be 3240×3240 px and if you want a grid made up of 12 images (3×4 grid), your custom dimensions will be 3240×4320 px.

These dimensions mean that your individual images/squares will be 1080×1080 px which is the recommended size for Instagram – it’s really important to use these dimensions to ensure that your images aren’t blurry or low quality when you upload them.

Pro Tip: Mark out where the individual Instagram squares within the large image so that you have an idea of what each individual post will look like. After all, you want each of your posts to look good on their own, as well as part of the overall puzzle grid.

Step Two: Add your background elements

Using your brand’s colors, start adding background elements to your project. These are things like shapes, color splashes etc. – the types of things that will make up the background to your puzzle and don’t really matter too much about being broken up into smaller pieces. These elements aren’t going to be the main focus of your puzzle but will help tie all of your individual images together.

Once you’re happy with the background elements it’s time to move on to Step Three…

Step Three: Add your images and text

These are the bits that require a little more thought and planning as it’s these elements that need to make sense when you upload the individual images to your grid.

Again, these elements should match your brand so use images that convey your brand and your personality and use your brand’s fonts too. If you’re not a great photographer or just don’t have time to host your own photoshoots don’t panic! You can use stock images like the ones available in our membership to create your puzzle.

Pro Tip: Add multiple layers and play around with the layout until you are happy with the overall look of your puzzle. Not every square has to have an image in it.

Step Four: Split your puzzle into individual images

Don’t worry about this step, it’s nowhere as complicated as you might think!

The secret to making it easy?

Use an App!

Download your puzzle from Canva as one single image and use an App like 9Square or Giant Square for Instagram to divide it up into the perfect images for your Instagram account.

Step Five: Create some captivating captions and upload!

The next (and final) step is to write some great captions to go alongside your beautiful new images! Remember to post content that is relevant to your audience and to include a Call to Action to encourage engagement. Unfortunately, it’s no longer enough to just post a beautiful image, it’s about the caption too.

Don’t forget to post them in the right order!!!!

Pro Tip: Use a scheduling tool like Plan or Tailwind to plan out your content ahead of time and schedule it so you can sit back and relax! (It will also help you double-check the order that you are posting your images in)

And that’s all there is to it! An amazing, personalized puzzle feed in just a few minutes, with no expensive or complicated tools needed.
