Times, they are a-changin’, and Instagram is changing just as quickly.
We’ve been talking all month about how Instagram has evolved with their newest algorithm change, but we know it can be a LOT of information to consume all at once.
That’s why we’ve decided to create an easy to use (and pin!) infographic to help you get the best tips that are algorithm approved.
Here is the text version of the infographic:
Resize Instagram photos to 1080px by 1080px for best display quality.
Bright, minimal photos typically perform best on Instagram.
Aim to post on Instagram at least once/day.
Animated portraits with solid, bright backgrounds stand out on Instagram.
Longer captions (6 words or more) perform best, and SEO-optimized keywords should be included.
Add questions and call-to-actions at the end of your captions.
Explain what you do in a concise way and break up text with emojis.
Interact with your audience through Instagram posts, stories, and live feeds.
Keep an eye on your like-to-follower ratio and how it affects your engagement rate.
Spam bots comment with 2-3 words, so try to comment with 5-7 words.
You must reply to comments within the first hour of posting.
The maximum is 30, but aim for 6-8 relevant hashtags and place them at the end of your caption, as recommended with the new Instagram algorithm.
